Habits of Mind Campaign Project
Team-writing is one of the common ways people in the worlds of business, government, science, and technology handle large writing projects. You will design a campaign for Polaris K-12 School around Habits of Mind and Essential Questions.
Monday, November 25: Individual brainstorm and group audience analysis due
Wednesday, November 27: Study guide due
Monday, December 9th: You and your partners will present your design to the class
Friday, December 13th: Project Reflection and Assessment due
Step 1: Audience Analysis
DUE Monday, November 25th
To complete your Audience Analysis, answer all of these questions, which have been adapted from Johnson-Sheehan’s Technical Communications Today:
Who are they?
What do they need?
Where will they be reading?
When will they be reading?
Why will they be reading?
How will they be reading?
Step 3: Peer/Teacher Review
Your campaign needs to be ready for peer and instructor feedback by Thursday, December 5th. This needs to be emailed to me in a PDF format or in a Prezi presentation by the end of Thursday's class.
Step 4: Project Presentations
Design Presentation: You and your partners will present your design to the class by projecting it on the screen at 1:30pm on Monday, December 9th
Step 2: Style Guide
DUE Wednesday, November 27th
Introduction: Explain how the rhetorical situation informed your design choices
Images: Please include at least 5 copyright friendly photographs with their source information. These need to be 300 dpi.
Color Palette: Include a sample of each color along with the CMYK values
Typography: Identify your typography choices for the following:
o Level One Heading
o Level Two Heading
o Level Three Heading
o Body Highlighters
