Tonight you will read excerpts from Michael Pollan's Omnivore's Dilemma and Jonathan Safron Foer's Eating Animals. Read the pieces with diction in mind. Look at how euphony and cacophony, pedantic and pedestrian words, and formality and vulgarity are used like paint brushes by the author's to convey a tone about the implications of modern day omnivorism.
