Now that you have an idea, it's time to write. As you compose your first draft, be thinking about the things in "Shooting Dad" that made it work as a story. Try techniques like imagery, descriptive detail, playful word choice, and dialogue to add flavor to your narrative.
Bring in your typed, double-spaced first draft to Friday's class. Please have it printed before 12:25pm. It is critical that you are prepared for this next stage of the writing process.
